ABOUT ME
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Louisville, Kentucky, my desire and passion is to get to know your story and walk alongside your family, marriage, or individual challenge as we look for the way forward. I am passionate about stories and systems so our time together consists of me listening to your current season, hearing your story and guiding you as you navigate where you are, what got you here, and how to move forward.
For couples this is usually practiced from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) perspective. To understand more about Emotionally Focused Therapy you can go to the EFT website. You can also purchase Hold Me Tight or Created for Connection to gain more insight.
When connecting with individuals/families we look at the false narratives that can create a false sense of self and help move toward a true sense of self. This is done through aspects of Narrative therapy, Bowenian therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy.
I received a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Campbellsville University. Additionally, I am a trained Trust Based Relationship Intervention Practitioner (TBRI®), an Enneagram Facilitator (Crosspoint Ministries), and a Prepare and Enrich Facilitator.
When not connecting with me you will probably find me running, playing board games, reading, or coaching youth sports.
Jonathan is a candidate to become an AAMFT approved supervisor.
